EMDR is the abbreviation for ‘Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing’. This therapy method was developed by the clinic psychologist Dr. Francine Shapiro in the late 1980s. Since the mid 90s, this method has been successfully applied in the domain of trauma and PTSD therapies, also offering relief in other life crises.
